SRHS Weekly Updates as of 4-12-26
Posted on 04/13/2026

Dear Falcon Families,

The past week brought us some beautiful weather as we welcomed students back from spring break. We hope everyone had some time to connect with family and friends last week, and that you are all ready for the final weeks of the school year. Grades were posted for the second progress report period last Monday, and this week is the second week of the last six weeks of the year. Now is a really good time to review your students’ grades and create a study plan if you notice your student needs support. Please encourage your students to reach out to their teachers and take advantage of the many tutoring opportunities on campus; SR6 (Saturday School), teacher tutoring, peer tutoring at lunch, and more.

This week begins our annual testing season, with our state testing, the CAST and CAASPP,  starting Tuesday. Please remind your students to charge their Chromebooks each day and to make a note of our unique testing schedule: regular modified Monday and block days Tuesday - Friday. During the Tuesday - Friday block days, school will end at the standard time, 3:23 pm. See below for more information about testing. AP testing begins on May 4th. Our AP students and teachers are working hard on test preparations and are looking forward to some great scores.

Spring sports playoffs begin soon, and Athletic Director Wilson will post those playoff schedules on our athletic website https://srfalcons.org/. Best of luck to all of our Spring student-athletes as they finish off their respective seasons.

Do you have a student returning next year? Families with students returning to Scripps next year, please complete the registration information ASAP. The deadline is May 8th. See below for more information.

Receiving progress report cards: The district will continue its use of digital delivery for progress report cards. Please see below if you need to update your preferences, or need more information about verifying your access.

Yearbooks: This is the last chance to order a copy of the 2026 Yearbook through Jostens. Online sales close on 4/22. We only have 145 copies left—once we run out, that's it! Visit this link for more information: https://jostensyearbooks.com/?REF=A01006935

To keep on top of events and deadlines, please encourage all students to log into their grade level Google classroom, and to follow ASB on Instagram, for the latest, most up to date information. This is especially important for our Seniors, as spring deadlines and updates are frequently updated and no one wants to miss out on any spring event.

This is the week! This Saturday, April 18th from 1-3pm in the SRHS Gym, the SRHS Foundation and Explore Solutions will host the WACAC Fair. The event will feature over 100 colleges. CAASPP Information - Reminder this week Tuesday-Friday

This week all students in 11th grade will take the Smarter Balanced Statewide Assessments. As the CAASPP parent notification letter states, the results of the assessments in English, Math and Science provide valuable data for your individual student in their future endeavors as well as schoolwide results that keep SRHS in great standing among other high schools in California. Please be sure you remind your 11th grade student to come prepared with a fully charged district issued chromebook, charger and headphones (headphones will be available to borrow.) For any student that is out, makeups will be scheduled the following week.

Reminders

Register for School for Next Year - from SDUSD - Reminder

Action needed! Registration for the 2026-2027 school year - deadline May 8th

San Diego Unified recently emailed families with instructions regarding "re-registration" for the 2026-2027 school year. Thank you to those families who have already completed this task.

All families are asked to review and submit updated emergency contact information annually - please complete this as soon as possible. The deadline to submit is May 8th; the district will close the re-registration portal at that time.

  • Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account (powerschool.sandi.net) using a web browser (not on mobile app).

Note: You must be logged in with a parent account, not as a student.

  • This is NOT in the "Forms" section. Scroll all the way down to the bottom left, to the icon "Student Registration for Next Year."

  • Be sure to click the green "Submit" button at the bottom of the very last screen to ensure that your answers are stored/recorded.

If you have issues accessing your account or the re-registration section, please complete this form to request assistance. All returning families must complete the Student Registration for Next Year form by the end of day (11:59 p.m.) on Friday, May 8, 2026. View letter sent directly to parents from SDUSD.

Next SR6 Session is Saturday April 18th - Reminder

Our next session will be held Saturday April 18th, with many AP review or mock exams hosted including AP Bio, AP Spanish, and AP Calc. Ms. Lovato will also be hosting for math. The flyer is updated with S2 dates and scheduled teachers. SR6 (Scripps Ranch 6) is an academic support available to all students. It is a 6th day of school hosted on select Saturdays for four hours, 8am-12pm. A breakfast and lunch meal is available for all students attending Core Academy at no charge. Signing up by the Wednesday prior, and selecting “yes” to breakfast and lunch guarantees it will be available for your student. SR6 is also an avenue for students to recover their attendance (AZTWs in PowerSchool) to remain eligible for school events. View Semester 25-26 SR6 Dates or flyer with all sign up forms

That’s all for today. Enjoy your weekend.

Sincerely,
