Dear Falcon Families,
Congratulations to our 2023 DISTRICT TEACHER OF THE YEAR, Trishaa Camp!! This is a very well deserved and amazing honor. This marks two years in a row that an SRHS teacher has been named the district teacher of the year. We are all very proud of her. Also, congratulations to our AFJROTC cadets Nathan Min, Delbert Tran, Veer Chopra, Janoj Rengaraj, and Anirudh Nayak. Together they won the National Championship for the Cyberpatriot Competition.
We’re going into Spring Break with a lot to celebrate! Thank you families for the continuous support you have given us throughout this school year. Today’s message will cover the important information for the week of April 3rd. My next weekly update message will be sent out on Sunday, April 9th. I hope everyone has a great Spring break. Spring Break
There will be no school March 27th - March 31st due to Spring break. School will resume on Monday, April 3rd.
COVID-19 Decision Tree Updates - from SDUSD
As of March 13th, updates to CDPH guidelines affect our decision tree and how we notify and respond to students and staff with symptoms and who are positive with COVID-19 infection.
Students and staff with symptoms could now possibly stay in school depending on symptom improvement and other factors. See the symptom flowchart
Students and staff with COVID-19 infection can return as early as Day 6 if improving, no more negative COVID-19 test required for return to work or school.
Staff will continue to be notified regarding close contacts. Students/families will be notified regarding outbreaks only.

California Scholarship Federation (CSF) Announcement
Attention CSF Seniors and Parents- the Sealbearer List is available on the SRHS CSF website, and CSF Stoles, Cords and Patches are optional purchases either online or on campus (cash/check). The purchases are only made available to Sealbearers (Life Members). They can find these on their student cash online account. Sale ends on APRIL 14. https://sites.google.com/sandi.net/srhscsf/events
Wednesday Career Series
The next Wednesday Career Series scheduled for April 5, 2023, will feature a presentation on Careers in Civil Engineering given by SDSU, American Society of Civil Engineers. Please come to the library from 1:05-1:35pm to listen to this great presentation. All students are welcome to attend! Counseling Updates
Transition Fair: All San Diego Unified high school students and families are invited to attend a post-high school transition fair on Wednesday, April 12 from 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Canyon Hills High School courtyard, 5156 Santo Rd. San Diego, CA 92124. The purpose of this fair is to provide high school students and families with community resources related to post-secondary education, employment, housing, and other services and supports to prepare for the transition from high school into adulthood. Local community and four-year colleges, trade schools, potential employers, and community-based organizations will have resources to share with students during the fair. Resources will also be available for students with IEPs and 504 plans. The fair will feature an onsite computer station where students can receive in-person assistance with job applications. Students should bring their resume in order to access this service. Families and students attending the event can enter for door prizes and purchase delicious cuisine available at food trucks! 2023 Summer School (Level Up): If your student needs to remediate a D or F grade earned on their high school transcript, please click here to access the request form. Only fill out the first page. The counselor will use the student transcript to select the correct courses on the second page. Once the form is completed, please have your student submit it to Sandy Kish in the counseling office. Details about dates and times can be found on the form. The priority deadline for requesting summer school is April 1st. The enrichment opportunities will be shared from the district in the spring. The District Summer Enrichment Call Center is now open to assist to all district families for support enrolling their child in Summer Enrichment (858) 810-7310.
