Dear Falcon Families,

I am excited to announce that we will be working to hire an additional Vice Principal (now they will be called Associate Principals) to begin July 1, 2022. Today’s update includes a survey as well as a Google Form to sign up for an input session via Zoom to obtain information from the community as to what skills and qualities you would like to see in our additional Associate Principal. The details and links are below. For the month of April, I will continue to put reminders about the WACAC College Fair being held at Scripps Ranch High School on April 23rd. Over 170 colleges will be in attendance! It’s highly recommended that students register ahead of time using the link provided on the flier. The details are provided in the WACAC blurb below. In addition to the Associate Principal and WACAC College Fair details, today’s update includes some counseling updates, the important April dates to remember, the Wednesday Career Series, and more. Here are the latest updates as of 4-10-22.

* Please forward this message to your child’s email account so they have all the latest info.

Associate Principal Input Session (Associate Principal is new name for Vice Principal)

We are excited to announce that the school district has allocated an additional Associate Principal position to Scripps Ranch High School.  Now we will have a total of three Associate Principals. We look forward to adding a new member to our administration team. The school community plays a vital role in the selection of school administration. This process includes engaging the Scripps Ranch students, staff, and parents/guardians in sharing the experience, skills, and qualities they would like to see in our additional administrator. We are working with HR and conducting the hiring process virtually.  We invite you to share input and participate in this process in any of the following ways:

  • Complete the  Community Input Survey (also in Spanish) - Complete by Thursday April 14th.
  • Attend Input Sessions via Zoom:
    • Parent and Community Input Session: Wednesday April 13th at 5:30 p.m. To participate in the Zoom meeting, please fill out the Google Form: Associate Principal Input Meeting. For security reasons, the Zoom link will be emailed to you on the morning of April 13th

We remain committed to selecting the best candidate to serve as an administrator at Scripps Ranch High School.

Counseling Updates

Extended Day Remediation Courses

Our extended day remediation classes will start this week. Some classes are on Monday/Wednesday and some are on Tuesday/Thursday. Students who requested a class on the sign-up sheets outside of the counseling office and/or submitted the online interest google form, were enrolled and were sent a confirmation email from our counseling secretary, Sandy Kish. We will also display class rosters using the student ID number outside of the counseling office on Monday. If your student wants a course but did NOT receive an email confirming their enrollment, they should see their counselor by the end of the day tomorrow, Monday April 11th. If there is still room in the class/es we will be able to add them.  All classes are offered from 4:00 P.M.- 5:30 P.M. Monday/Wednesday classes start on April 11th and end on May 11th. Tuesday/Thursday classes start on April 12th and end on May 12th.

CCAP College Courses Requests for 2022-23

Student requests for the CCAP college courses next year will be DROPPED this week if they are still missing required items. An email was sent from Justina Estrada to students with missing items. Additionally, their Student ID's have been posted outside of the counseling office with what is missing. Please ask your student to check their student email account and/or the list outside of the counseling office. If these items are not completed while schedules are being created, students can lose their chance of getting into a college course.

Final Transcript Requests for Seniors:

As students decide what their plans are for next year,

they may need to request a final transcript sent off on their behalf once they have earned their diploma. Please click here for information to share with your student about requesting their Final Transcript.

Seniors admitted to a CSU or UC School: If you have been admitted to a CSU or UC, please notify the registrar if the CSU or UC college is requesting your midyear transcript. This will prevent a delay in your transcript being sent. The email notification should be sent at the same time as the electronic Xello Transcript Request [email protected]
