Dear Falcon Families,

A big congratulations to our SRHS delegates who won the "Best High School Delegation" Award at the San Diego Regional Junior Model United Nations Conference, which is the top honor. A special shoutout to the following delegates who received individual awards: Tara Kamath, Jada Kim, Bella Cumba, Peyton Thai, Sarayu Simma, Yoonah Lee, Nita Kamath, and Nidhi Mehta. The following students served as Head Chairs of their committees: Shivanshi Sharma, Kayla Huynh, Grace Li, Albert Liu and Christian Luevano. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are our final 3 days of school for the 2022-23 school year. As a reminder, these days will be early out minimum days with school beginning at 8:45am and ending at 1:41pm. After today’s update, I will send my final update of the 2022-23 school year next Sunday, June 18th. I’m looking forward to finishing up our year strong and celebrating our seniors on June 14th at 5pm. See below for the latest updates as of 6-11-23.

Upcoming Calendar Events for May & June

  • 6/12: Finals periods 1 & 3 (Minimum day bell schedule 8:45am - 1:41pm)
  • 6/13: Finals periods 2 & 4 (Minimum day bell schedule 8:45am - 1:41pm)
  • 6/14: Finals periods 5 & 6 (Minimum day bell schedule 8:45am - 1:41pm); Last day of school; Senior graduation 5 - 7pm (Graduation details)

 

Senior Family Reminders:

  • Cap and gown distribution is on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 9:00am to 12:00pm in front of the counseling office – 4 free tickets to graduation will be included in their cap and gown.
  • Graduation Rehearsal is on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 9:00am to 12:00 pm. Students should bring a hat and sunscreen as it’s always hot during rehearsal in the stadium. 
  • Graduation Ceremony is on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM
  • Seniors must check in at 4PM. The Check In Station is located by the basketball courts next to the gym (please have them either use the ramp or stairs).
  • The Meanley Drive gate will be open to families, you will be able to enter into the stadium through this gate and the main gate by the bungalows

  • The graduation will be live streamed – please click here for the link
  • The photographer will have two people on the field to get up close photos of the students crossing the stage.  Families wishing to purchase photos may do so by registering their information at:  http://difrancophoto.com/register ; You will enter the following the school name Scripps Ranch High School, Graduates first and last name, email address and phone number
  • Please review the graduation website with your senior so they are aware of this information as well.

 

Early Out Final Minimum Days June 12, 13 and 14 - Reminder

Due to final exams, on June 12, 13 and 14 there will be early out minimum days for students in grades 9 – 11. School will begin at 8:45am and will end at 1:41pm. Monday, June 12th will be periods 1 and 3 finals, Tuesday, June 13th will be periods 2 and 4 finals, and Wednesday, June 14th will be periods 5 and 6 finals. Semester 2 Grading Period Ends on June 14th

Wednesday, June 14th is the end of the semester 2 grading period. Teachers will post grades to be available via PowerSchool on Friday, June 16th. Paper reports will not be mailed home.

 

Continuing Student Packets

“Continuing Student Packets” went home during the month of May.  Please make sure your student has had you review it. Packets should now be turned into the counseling office.

 

Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF)  - Data Collection - Reminder

Every year we are required by the State of California to collect data from our families.  This data helps to determine our Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) funding from the state.  Please click here to read the letter from the Director of Strategic Planning for Student Achievement at San Diego Unified regarding the data collection. The LCFF online form is available on the Parent Portal, and NOT on the student’s portal.  If you do not have the Access ID and Password for your student, please contact Jason Lyons at [email protected]. For help with technical issues, please contact Parent Online Support at (619) 732-1400.

 

Kickoff Dates for Next Year

Below are the Kickoff Dates for next school year:

  • Wednesday, August 9: 9th grade
  • Thursday, August 10: 12th grade
  • Friday, August 11: 11th grade
  • Monday, August 14: 10th grade

Times are TBD and will be communicated as soon as possible. Over the summer, we will be creating a Kickoff website with all of the important information so please check the SRHS Homepage Website later in the summer for details.

 

Counseling Updates

Click the counseling updates 6-11-23 to view information about Summer School for credit recovery and enrichment, final transcript requests for seniors and counselor availability this week.
