Dear Falcon Families,
Hopefully the extra hour of sleep helped everyone’s transition into November this weekend. Last week we all had a great time seeing the students and staff in their Halloween costumes. This past weekend our Marching Band hosted the Falcon Invitational with tremendous success. On Friday, November 1st, the second progress report grading period ended. Teachers will be posting grades on Monday and the grades will be available to view this coming week. As you review your students’ grades, if you find they are struggling in any subjects, please encourage them to seek support and take advantage of the resources available on campus.
As we begin our countdown to Thanksgiving break, there are many fun and exciting events to look forward to in our community. Our student athletes continue to impress as CIF playoffs for fall sports begin. Our Falcons are hoping you can come and cheer them on, so please check out srfalcons.org for dates, locations, and all other SRHS athletics information, including scores and pictures.
November signals the start of the winter holidays and lots of traditions; one here at Scripps Ranch in particular is the annual Air Force JROTC holiday canned food drive. Ask your students to be on the lookout for the big blue bins in their teachers’ classrooms, and then please donate those extra cans of food to help feed those in need in the winter months, and all year round.
As always, please remind your students to check their grade level Google Classroom for updates and stay connected with the ASB Instagram page (link above) for event details and upcoming deadlines. In this week’s announcements, please check out details about the “FALCONnections,” a place for families to meet and discuss wellness and connection for Scripps Ranch area students; more information below. As a reminder, November 11th is a holiday (Veteran’s Day) and there will be no school that day. See below for other reminders for this week, some updates and details on upcoming events such as an E-bike education session.
See below for the latest updates as of 11-3-24.

Additional opportunities for academic support and attendance recovery are available as well and can be found on student’s Google Classroom. View Semester One SR6 Dates.
Federal Impact Aid Survey - Reminder
It is that time of the year to help our school secure critical funding by completing the Federal Impact Aid form. We are asking ALL families to complete the brief form by using one of the two options described below to help us qualify for funding. Please note that all information provided will be treated confidentially. Impact Aid funds are designated to assist school districts that enroll federally connected students. In San Diego Unified, many students are federally connected based on where they live or where their parents work. Impact Aid funds become part of the district’s general operating budget and support instructional activities for ALL students.
HOW:
Option 1 (preferred)
Complete the form through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
-
Login at https://powerschool.sandi.net/
-
Select Forms from the left-hand navigation menu, then select 2024-25 Impact Aid Survey.
-
Follow the prompts and submit the form. Please be sure a confirmation appears before logging off.
-
If you do not yet have a parent Portal account, contact Jason Lyons ([email protected]).
Option 2
Paper forms will also be distributed by our school the last week of October (If you have previously completed the form in PowerSchool, you do not need to complete the paper form). Please sign, date and return the form to our school by November 15, 2024.
