SRHS Weekly Updates as of 12-7-25
Posted on 12/07/2025

Dear Falcon Families,

December is here and the countdown to break has begun. Students are looking forward to all the fun end of semester activities happening on campus in the next two weeks. This week is spirit week, the Winter Pep Rally, and a Throwball Tournament. After winter break, our Winter Formal will be held on January 10th. A lot of excitement for students this winter! Remind your students to check out their class level Google classroom, and the ASB instagram to stay “in the know” about upcoming events and deadlines.

We would like to congratulate the boys water polo team for earning the San DIego City Conference: Central League Championship. The boys went 6-0 in league earning them a CIF bid. All league MVP was earned by Luke Lastomirksy (Jr.) and All League Goalie was earned by Elliott LaPlante (Sr.). Congratulations!

We would also like to congratulate our Girls and Boys cross country teams for representing SRHS at the State Meet. The girls scored a top 10 finish and senior Brandon Sun broke the school record on the 5000 meter course in a time of 15:09. Well done!

Our fall athletics and CIF championships are over, but winter sports are well underway. Be sure to check out the website for schedules, scores, and photos. We hope to see you at a game, meet, or match, cheering on our awesome Falcons!  For updated information on all our fantastic programs, please visit our website, or the following links: Athletics go HERE, Falcon Playhouse go HERE, Music Program (marching band in the fall) go HERE, ASB updates go HERE, and AFROTC program go HERE

We have two weeks left in this semester, one of which is our week of finals. Teachers are required to enter grades by 9am on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026. Please remind your students to communicate with their teachers regarding missing and make-up work, as well as tutoring times. If a student has a planned absence during finals week, they must communicate with their teachers to make arrangements to take their finals. Please encourage your students to reach out to their teachers as soon as possible. The last SR6 (Saturday School) for the semester is December 13th. Peer tutoring is also up and running, held in room 900 at lunch on Tuesdays and Fridays, and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students needing help should stop by for support; encourage your students to finish the semester strong!

In this week’s announcements, please check out details about the final SR6 (Saturday School) for the semester, info on completing the Impact Aid Survey, pick up and drop off reminders, and more.

Last SR6 Saturday Session before Winter Formal will be hosted December 13th

SR6 (Scripps Ranch 6) is an academic support available to all students. It is a 6th day of school hosted on select Saturdays for four hours, 8am-12pm. Our next session will be held Saturday December 13th and will be hosted by Ms. Lovato (Math, Rm 703) and Mr. Garcia (theater). A breakfast and lunch meal is available for all students attending Core Academy at no charge. Signing up by Wednesday, and selecting “yes” to breakfast and lunch guarantees it will be available for your student. SR6 is also an avenue for students to recover their attendance (AZTWs in PowerSchool) to remain eligible for school events. View Semester 25-26 SR6 Dates or flyer with all sign up forms

Reporting & Verifying Student Absences via Google Form - Reminder

Twenty-four hours in advance is recommended. Although anyone can access these forms, submissions will only be received when sent using the parent/guardian email address on file in PowerSchool. The annual Impact Aid Survey is now open in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Families are asked to complete the form by Friday, December 19, 2025.

  • Select Forms.
  • Choose 2025–26 Impact Aid Program Survey Form.

Every completed survey helps bring valuable resources to our schools, so thank you in advance for your participation.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up - Reminder

In order to limit traffic as much as possible, we are asking parents/guardians to drop off their students in designated locations on the East Side of Falcon Way, Scripps Lake Drive, or Treena Street. See this Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up for details. Please do not park along any curbs that are painted red in front of the theatre or at the top of Falcon Way; these are to be kept open in case of emergency. View these Traffic Safety Tips for drivers and students from SDUSD.

That’s all for today. Enjoy your weekend.

Sincerely,
