SRHS Weekly Updates as of 2-22-26
Posted on 02/22/2026

Dear Falcon Families,

Congratulations to our girls water polo team who won the CIF Championship this past Saturday! They will start the first round of their state playoffs this week. Congrats girls and lets bring home the state championship!

More exciting happenings at SRHS this week, as we enter the final week of February. This week we will welcome rising Falcons from Marshall Middle and other middle schools to our annual Falcon Day. We are excited to host over 475 future Falcons and show them all the great things we have to offer. The students will get tours of campus, hear from current high school students, and get information on clubs and athletics.

Last Friday, the Falcon Playhouse’s production of Mamma Mia! opened. The show will run for two weekends, so it’s not too late to get your tickets (see the link). Follow the links here for information about all our amazing programs at Scripps Ranch: Falcon Athletics go HERE, Falcon Playhouse go HERE, Music Program (marching band in the fall) go HERE, ASB updates go HERE, and AFROTC program go HERE

As a result of the agreement reached between the SDUSD and SDEA the strike scheduled for February 26th was canceled and school will now be in session. March 9th will revert back to a non instructional day. Due to this change we will have a normal schedule next week with block days Wednesday and Thursday as usual.

To keep on top of events and deadlines, please encourage all students to log into their grade level Google classroom, and to follow ASB on Instagram, for the latest, most up to date information. This is especially important for our Seniors, as spring deadlines and updates are frequently updated and no one wants to miss out on any spring event.

In this message you’ll find reminders and details about the updated attendance reporting protocols, the Wednesday Career series, SR6 (Saturday School), summer school opportunities, updated information for senior families (including grad nite and graduation information), the upcoming 11th grade suicide prevention “Check Your Mood Week,” and more.

Stay dry and have a wonderful week!

SR6 Semester Two

Our next session will be held Saturday March 14th, hosted by Mr. Garcia (theater) and Mr. Batchelor (math). The flyer is updated with S2 dates and scheduled teachers. SR6 (Scripps Ranch 6) is an academic support available to all students. It is a 6th day of school hosted on select Saturdays for four hours, 8am-12pm. A breakfast and lunch meal is available for all students attending Core Academy at no charge. Signing up by the Wednesday prior, and selecting “yes” to breakfast and lunch guarantees it will be available for your student.
