Dear Falcon Families,
I’m excited to share some great news with our school community: Scripps Ranch High School has been recognized as a 2026 California Distinguished School in the category of “Achievement Gap Closers” by the California Department of Education. The recognition is based on performance data from the 2025 California School Dashboard. This honor reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire staff, students, families and community. Thank you all for your commitment and support of SRHS.
The coming week also marks two weeks until the end of the second progress report grading period, and two weeks until spring break (March 30). Students should take a moment to review their grades and follow up with teachers as needed. There are many opportunities for students to improve their grades and finish this semester strong. Students can take advantage of peer tutoring, SR6 (Saturday School), and individual teacher tutoring. Please encourage your students to check their grades and make a plan if they find they need help.

New Information
SRHS is a 2026 CA Distinguished School!
We have been recognized as a 2026 California Distinguished School in the category of “Achievement Gap Closers” by the California Department of Education. This honor reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire staff in supporting all students while accelerating progress for historically underserved groups. The recognition is based on performance data from the 2025 California School Dashboard and highlights schools that are demonstrating strong academic outcomes for all students. Thank you to all of our teachers, staff and families for your continued commitment to our students and for the important role you played in earning this statewide recognition.
Modified Mondays
As a reminder, every Monday is a modified Monday with school ending at 2:29pm. During the 2:29 - 3:23pm time window, teachers will be either (1) offering revision/reassessments for students or (2) will be meeting with their fellow colleagues to collaborate on instructional practices. Those teachers who are offering revision/reassessment opportunities will have communicated with their students. We encourage all students who have scheduled revision/reassessment opportunities to take advantage of this time to hone their learning.

Reminders
CAASPP Information - Reminder
The CAASPP parent notification letter was sent out by the district in the family newsletter this past Saturday, February 28th. If you have a student in 11th grade please take time to read and review with your student. SRHS will administer to all 11th grade students during the block schedule days, April 14th through April 17th. As the letter states, these statewide assessments in English, Math, and Science are valuable data for both individual students and provide schoolwide results as well.
SR6 Semester Two - Reminder
Our next session will be held Saturday March 21st, hosted by Ms. Smith (Social Science & English) and Coach Camp (ASB hosted Campus Clean Up). The flyer is updated with S2 dates and scheduled teachers. SR6 (Scripps Ranch 6) is an academic support available to all students. It is a 6th day of school hosted on select Saturdays for four hours, 8am-12pm. A breakfast and lunch meal is available for all students attending Core Academy at no charge. Signing up by the Wednesday prior, and selecting “yes” to breakfast and lunch guarantees it will be available for your student. SR6 is also an avenue for students to recover their attendance (AZTWs in PowerSchool) to remain eligible for school events. View Semester 25-26 SR6 Dates or flyer with all sign up forms.
Summer School 2026 Academic Programs - Reminder
Click here for district information on summer school dates, times, and locations. At this time, the website lists credit recovery options only. Scripps Ranch High School will be one of the in-person summer school sites. Please note that no online credit recovery options will be available this summer in the district. Students who would like to remediate a D or F earned in a graduation-required course should submit the summer school form to their counselor by March 25.
