SRHS Weekly Updates as of 3-22-26
Posted on 03/22/2026

Dear Falcon Families,

Spring is here! Friday was the first day of spring and this week is our last week before spring break. We hope everyone can find time to enjoy friends and family during the week off from school. March 30th is our first day of break, and we know the students are ready!

This week we’d like to congratulate two of our coaches, earning recognition for excellence in all they do for our students. Roni Greenwood was named State Girls Volleyball Head Coach of the Year and Erin Byrne, head coach of the girls beach volleyball team and assistant coach for the girls indoor volleyball team, was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 30 Under 30 award winner. Congratulations to both of these outstanding individuals! We are lucky to have them!

In addition to the anticipation of spring break, this week also brings the end of the second progress report grading period for semester two. The grading period will end on Friday, 3/27/2026. With the end of the six week grading period, students should communicate with their teachers regarding missing and make-up work, as well as tutoring times. If your student is struggling in any course, please encourage them to take time and follow up with their teachers. We strongly encourage all students to self-advocate and use resources like SR6 Saturday School, peer tutoring, teacher tutoring sessions, and more, to get caught up on missing assignments or improve their grades.

For students attending Scripps Ranch High School next year, the student registration information has been posted in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please see below for more information about timelines and the letter that went home.

For students needing recovery credit in English and Ethnic Studies, extended day classes will start after spring break. If you’ve received information from a counselor, please follow up with them to make sure your student is getting the recovery credit they need.

The Scripps Ranch Foundation will be hosting the WACAC College Fair again this year. This event will take place on April 18th in the SRHS gym. Details below.

As always, students should continue to check their grade level Google classroom for updates on events and deadlines. We have 40+ days left in the school year and no one wants to miss out on all the fun events scheduled for spring. Please remind your students to check in and be aware of everything the Falcon community has to offer.

We want to make sure your student is ready for pickup without delay. To allow our staff enough time to process requests, please submit the Google Form at least 24 to 48 hours before their early dismissal. Submissions made within minutes of departure may result in delays at the attendance office. Please see our A Quick Guide for Families for a printable flyer to keep at home.

Important Reminders:

  • Students leaving early must sign out at the attendance office and collect their blue slip before departing.

  • Parent or guardian must use their email listed in Powerschool to use the google forms

CAASPP Information - Reminder

The  CAASPP parent notification letter was sent out by the district in the family newsletter this past Saturday, February 28th. If you have a student in 11th grade please take time to read and review with your student. SRHS will administer to all 11th grade students during the block schedule days, April 14th through April 17th. As the letter states, these statewide assessments in English, Math, and Science are valuable data for both individual students and provide schoolwide results as well.

Next SR6 Session is Saturday March 28th - Reminder

Our next session will be held Saturday March 28th, hosted by Mr. Garcia (theater) and Ms. Bellotti (math). The flyer is updated with S2 dates and scheduled teachers. SR6 (Scripps Ranch 6) is an academic support available to all students. It is a 6th day of school hosted on select Saturdays for four hours, 8am-12pm. A breakfast and lunch meal is available for all students attending Core Academy at no charge. Signing up by the Wednesday prior, and selecting “yes” to breakfast and lunch guarantees it will be available for your student. SR6 is also an avenue for students to recover their attendance (AZTWs in PowerSchool) to remain eligible for school events. View Semester 25-26 SR6 Dates or flyer with all sign up forms.
