Dear Falcon Families,
The first three weeks of school have flown by and just like that, it’s September! Our Falcons are back in the swing of things and starting out the year with lots of energy and spirit. Our student athletes continue to impress as they compete in fall sports; our students in the arts continue to rehearse and prepare for upcoming competitions and productions; and our AFJROTC cadets, along with all our many clubs and academic teams on campus, continue preparing existing and new members for a fantastic year.
Last Wednesday we had our annual “Back to School Night.” A big Falcon shout out to our Scripps Ranch High School Foundation for providing the food trucks this year! We’ve heard a lot of great feedback from families and teachers about being able to connect with one another. If you were not able to attend, and you need more information about your student’s class, please reach out to their teachers directly. In addition, please remind your students to join the Google classroom for their grade. This gives them access to all the announcements and information needed for their grade level. Senior families: Senior students received an email communicating the August items of interest and upcoming deadlines (click here to see the details). Please remind your student to check their emails and the counseling website so they do not miss important events.
The end of the first grading period is September 20th. As part of the district’s ongoing efforts to streamline communication and provide timely updates, progress reports and semester reports cards will be sent out via digital document delivery this year. To be sure you receive these important documents, please take a moment to: 1. Verify that the digital document email address is up-to-date in PowerSchool, and 2. Ensure that you are opted into digital document delivery. Please see below for more information on how to navigate the Parent/Student Powerschool Portal.
It was recently announced that San Diego Unified will continue its “Free Meals for All Students: for the third year in a row. This week’s updates include information about becoming a parent volunteer, how to navigate the PowerSchool parent portal, and a boot camp opportunity for students interested in AI exploration. Reminders include the details on our CCTE College and College Showcase information sessions, and more. Please continue to encourage your students to check the Scripps Ranch ASB website and Instagram for updates on school events and spirit days. As the football season gets under way, students will definitely want to be aware of spirit days, homecoming activities, and more. We hope everyone has a restful three day weekend. See below for the latest updates as of 9-1-24.

See this Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up for details.
