Parent Message 3-10-24
Posted on 03/10/2024

Dear Falcon Families,

A big thank you to all of our students representing their various clubs on campus who participated in Thursday’s cultural day at lunch. During cultural day, clubs had an opportunity to share information about their clubs along with fundraising by selling some tasty treats. Check out some of the pictures of this fun event: Picture 1, Picture 2, Picture 3.

As a reminder, this morning we turned our clocks forward for DayLight Savings so while school starts at 8:35am, it will feel an hour earlier. Every year we have students who forget to set their clocks forward so please help remind them 😀For all student updates, please be sure your student has joined their “Class of” Google Classroom so they can receive all the latest updates. If they have not joined we have the access codes available in the front office to join.

This past Thursday, I had the opportunity to see the Falcon Playhouse’s musical Big Fish and it was extremely well done. Great job to Mr. Garcia and all of the actors for putting on an amazing show. My family and I really enjoyed it.

I hope you all have a great week and see below for the latest updates as of 3-10-24.

* Please forward this message to your child’s email account so they have all the latest info.

2024 California Healthy Kids Survey for all Parents/Guardians - Important

It is that time of year again when we request your participation in completing the parent/guardian section of the CA Healthy Kids Survey. This survey provides our district and our school with important information on the wellbeing of our students. It also helps guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, and improve student achievement. In the past two years the information gathered from this survey has allowed us to add supportive programs for our students. Know that this is an anonymous survey.  It is designated so that no one can be identified from the data. We ask that you please take some time to complete the survey to the best of your knowledge. If you have more than one child at Scripps Ranch High School, you will only need to complete one survey entry. Please use the following link to access the survey open until March 29th California School Parent SURVEY Thank you for your support.

Facts for Parents in the PowerSchool Parent Portal

Starting Monday, March 11th, a new form will be added to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. It's called the 2023-24 Facts for Parents. This form will ask you to confirm that you have received the Facts for Parents booklet, which contains important updated information for families in San Diego Unified. The booklet covers your rights and responsibilities, along with district, local, state, and federal policies affecting all students. Each year, schools must provide this booklet to every parent/guardian. In the Parent Portal, you'll find the form available in English, Spanish, Somali, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. It includes a link to the Facts for Parents booklet on the district website. Please login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and submit the 2023-24 Facts for Parents form. Throughout the school year, schools will remind any parents/guardians who haven't completed the form yet. Please contact the Scripps Ranch Site tech at [email protected]  if you do not have an access ID. If you need to set up your portal account please use this link. https://itd.sandiegounified.org/it_resources/power_school/power_school_parent_student_portal
