SRHS Weekly Updates as of 11-12-23
Posted on 11/12/2023

Dear Falcon Families,

This week, Scripps Ranch High was named as an AP school honor roll member and ranked at the level of “gold with access.” For a school to be recognized on the AP school honor roll, it needs to meet each of the following criteria:

  • College Culture: 40% or more of graduating cohort took at least 1 AP Exam during high school.

  • College Credit: 25% or more of the graduating cohort scored a 3 or higher on at least 1 AP Exam during high school.

  • College Optimization: 2% or more of the graduating cohort took 5 or more AP Exams during high school. At least 1 of those exams was taken in 9th or 10th grade, so that students are spreading their AP experience across grades rather than feeling disproportionate pressure in any single year.

Additionally, SRHS received the access award since the percentage of AP Exam takers who are underrepresented minority and/or low-income students mirrors our school’s overall student demographics. Thank you to all of the amazing staff, students and families who contributed to our students’ success.

Reminder that this week, our Falcon Playhouse is putting on the play  “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” You can purchase tickets here: https://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/falconplayhouse/6825

During that time, the therapist will help them understand their emotions and learn new skills to manage things like anxiety, depression, stress, organization, and more. All students will walk away with strategies that they can use in class, at home, and throughout life. All students ages 10+ are eligible for teletherapy services.
