SRHS Weekly Updates as of 5-26-24
Posted on 05/26/2024

Dear Falcon Families:

We hope you are enjoying the three day weekend. Welcome to the last full week of school! We are winding down. This week, ASB starts their final spirit week on Tuesday and seniors begin finals on May 30th, ending June 3rd, and then graduation on June 6th. Half day finals will begin for grades 9, 10, and 11 on June 4th and will end the last day of school on June 6th. Senior families, please be sure to check the website and information below for “Senior Events” your seniors need to attend. In this final week, it’s more important than ever for students to check their grades and follow up with their teachers regarding missing work, and make-up work, ensuring they finish the school year strong.

Our VAPA program has had some outstanding performances and presentations this past week. Our band program performed in Balboa Park with the Spreckels Organ, and our students in the dance program made us proud, once again, with an incredible showcase performance. We want to congratulate our students participating in the Visual Arts Festival, and acknowledge the incredible work they presented: artwork, photography, video production films, and short films from the Film Arts classes.

Our AFJROTC, once again, represents the Falcons as the best in the county, bringing home the Stilwell Trophy for the third year in a row and for the 7th time in the last 11 years! The General Joseph Stilwell Trophy is awarded every year to the most outstanding JROTC Unit in the San Diego Unified School District, as determined by performance in Joint Brigade events. Congratulations to all the cadets!

As always, please remind your students to review the list of events and deadlines for seniors by visiting the links below and checking out the ASB Instagram page.
