See below for the latest updates as of 9-10-23.

* Please forward this message to your child’s email account so they have all the latest info.

Early Out Modified Monday, September 11

This Monday, September 11th is a modified Monday with school ending at 2:23pm. During the 2:23 - 3:23pm time window, teachers will be either (1) offering revision/reassessments for students or (2) will be meeting with their fellow colleagues to collaborate on instructional practices. Those teachers who are offering revision/reassessment opportunities will have communicated with their students. We encourage all students who have scheduled revision/reassessment opportunities to take advantage of this time to hone their learning.

Area A Superintendent Meet & Greet - From the Scripps Ranch Schools Committee

Please join us as we warmly welcome our new Area A Superintendent Maria Gomez at the Scripps Ranch Cluster Meet and Greet on Thursday, September 21 from 4:30 - 5:30 pm at Marshall Middle School Theater.  Please see the attached flyer for details. The Meet and Greet is a special opportunity to learn about Ms. Gomez and to ask questions and receive information about our school district and our cluster. SR6 (Saturday Support) - Reminder

SR6 (Scripps Ranch 6) is an academic support available to all students. It is a 6th day of school hosted on select Saturdays for four hours. SR6 will be hosted by a certificated teacher(s) who will provide instruction and support. An SR6 link will be added to our school website where students can view the content areas of the scheduled teacher and sign up. SR6 is also an avenue for students to recover their attendance (AZTWs in PowerSchool) to remain eligible for school events.

Updated Attendance Policy & Impacts on Eligibility - Reminder

To support student success in the classroom and to remain eligible for school events including homecoming events, dances, prom, and commencement, students must: 1) be present in all of their classes for the duration of the period unless excused absence verified by parent, 2) have a valid pass when out of class, 3) maintain a 2.0 citizenship score and 4) exemplify the pillars of Falcon PRIDE.

Students can regain eligibility for school events if eligibility is lost for attendance infractions. Unverified class-period absences (Powerschool code A), tardies (PowerSchool code T), or missed more than 30 minutes - unexcused (PowerSchool code W) can be recovered by attending lunch detention(s). Full-day absences (PowerSchool code A or PowerSchool code Z) can be recovered by attending SR6 hosted on select Saturdays. Any unserved detentions assigned for disciplinary reasons can be served to regain eligibility as well. Notices will be sent regularly to parents and students informing them of attendance and opportunities to recover them in order to regain eligibility. See the SRHS Student Handbook for more information.
