Posted on 11/19/2023

Dear Falcon Families,

Thank you, thank you to everyone for the support this community gives to the staff, students, and the school as a whole. I’m proud I get to be the principal of this school and have the opportunity to serve our students and families. On this Thanksgiving holiday, I hope you have time to relax, reflect, and have fun with your friends and families.

Congratulations to both our boys and girls cross country teams who each won the CIF San Diego Division 2 championship!! Congratulations to Coaches Chuck Warren and Eileen Quinn who led their respective teams to excellence. Both teams will compete in the state championship Saturday, November 25th in Fresno, CA. Good luck to both teams as they try to bring home 2 state championships! Also, congratulations to the Falcon Playhouse cast and crew for their awesome implementation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The quality of the play was exceptional in all facets and was a joy to watch.

I will be off next week so this message will cover the week of November 27th. My next parent message will be sent Sunday, December 3rd. Again, I wish you all a fun and restful Thanksgiving break. See below for the latest updates as of 11-19-22.

Fire Training at the SD Miramar College Regional Accredited FireFighter Academy

San Diego Miramar College wants our community to be aware that their FireFighter Academy Training Program will be producing clean combustible smoke for several hours during “Live Fire Trainings” on Thurs., Nov. 30 and Mon. through Wed., Dec. 4-6.  The amount of smoke will not be enough to impact the surrounding communities but will be visible from a distance.  If you see this smoke, please be aware that this is not an emergency and there is no need to call emergency services.

Miramar College Support Every Modified Monday - Reminder

A Miramar College representative will be in the counseling office every modified Monday. Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to stop by to ask any community college related questions, regardless if you are currently enrolled in a college class or not.
